[Poster Presentation] Experimental Investigation of Environment Imaging Technique using Millimeter-Wave Radio Systems

(in English) Aiming at realizing sensing of the surrounding environment for smart homes/smart buildings, device-free localization methods using multi-path propagation have gained interest. To realize such methods the accurate environmental information should be obtained in advance. In this study the environment imaging method using
millimeter-wave (mm-wave) ratio such as WiGig and 5 G mobile communications was developed.This method obtains the shape of the surrounding environment using the changes in the propagation path characteristics acquired by the anchor node moving a device node along a fixed trajectory, which offers an automatic environment digitization. Specifically, a multi-dimensional Kirchoff Migration (KM) method that improves the performance by utilizing the high-resolution of mm-wave systems such as high delay time and angular resolution was developed. The performance was evaluated by ray tracing simulation.
