Radiation Pattern Analysis of Cylindrical Microcavity Laser -- Control of Radiation Directivity --

(in English) Radiation pattern of the laser that uses the Whispering Gallery Mode (WGM) becomes a point-symmetrical, because electromagnetic waves propagate around the circumference of the cylindrical optical resonator. If the radiation pattern can be controlled and directivity can be selected, the WGM laser can be applied to beam steering devices and switching devices. In this report, the directivity control by multiple cylindrical microcavity lasers is examined in terms of the pumping rate. Further, we investigate time response of radiation pattern for multi-mode oscillation that oscillates lasers at multiple resonance wavelengths.
