Abstract Currently, the distribution of counterfeit products such as food packages and drug labels that can be easily imitated has become a serious social problem. In order to solve the above problem, we propose a means to judge counterfeit products from QR codes that are commonly used for all products in daily life. The characteristics of an inkjet printer are used to determine authenticity. In the previous research, we considered the variation of the ink ejected during printing as a characteristic peculiar to the printed matter, and built a system to judge the authenticity by managing it in the database, but the number of data sets used for verification was small. There is a problem that the accuracy is not reliable. Therefore, in this paper, we will experiment with the authenticity judgment system after increasing the number of data sets, and verify the relationship between the number of registered data and the judgment accuracy. In addition, we propose a method for improving accuracy by improving image preprocessing.
