[Invited Lecture] Display-Camera Visible Light Communication Systems Using Rolling Shutter

(in English) In display-camera visible light communication systems, this study discusses the transmitting and receiving method focusing on the rolling shutter effect of the camera. First, the impact of the rolling shutter effect on the captured images is evaluated by simulation. Then, we propose a receiving method using the rolling shutter effect and evaluate its performance by experiments. Furthermore, we propose a transmission method using a high-speed display. By using the rolling shutter effect, we show that data transmission is possible even when the display rate exceeds the capture rate of the camera.
