| (in English) | In order to realize SDM transmission using few-mode multi-core fibers (FM-MCFs), a switching device adapted to spatially multiplexed signals is required. We focused on the spatial light modulator (SLM) as a device of a fiber joint switch that collectively switches the path of all signal light contained in a FM-MCF. We conducted the experiment using SLM to switch the path of the signal emitted from 6-mode 19-core fiber. As a result, it was revealed that the diffraction power of path-switched signal depends on the switching angle given by SLM and the distribution of spatial modes was maintained after path-switching. | |
