In recent years, the demand for indoor IoT has been increasing, as exemplified by factory automation. The indoor propagation is very complicated, and it is necessary to optimize the location of base stations and gateways for each factory or building. In this paper, propagation measurements are carried out using inexpensive and easily available general-purpose products. Specifically, we used a 3D printer and moved the wireless receiver to an arbitrary position in the 3D printer to enable the propagation measurement. As a simple example, we measured the Received Signal Strength Indicator (RSSI) in a range of 1m^3 using a LoRa module. By comparing the measurement results with the theoretical values, we show the effectiveness of this system. |
