In this paper, the evaluation approach in the bandwidth and the antenna size is discussed for printed compact circularly polarized antennas. Moreover, the explanation approach in the operational principle for circular polarization is shown. As an example, the dual band printed inverted-F antenna for dual band operation proposed by author is used. As a result of comparison with other literatures, the size of the proposed antenna is compact and its bandwidths are relatively wide in two frequency bands. By the magnitude and vector distributions in the electric current, the radiation elements of both side from the center feeding line produce linearly polarized waves which are orthogonal to each other. Moreover, the antenna radiates circularly polarized wave by combining the orthogonally linearly polarized waves. |
