Theoretical model for ultrasound received via a thin layer and its application
Hironori Tohmyoh (Tohoku Univ.) US2020-75
Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) When the ultrasound passes through thin layer, the transmission and reflection coefficients show frequency dependence, and take their maximum and the minimum values at the resonant frequency. This paper reports the theoretical model to predict the waveform of the ultrasound received via a thin layer. Moreover, with use of the theoretical model, examples of evaluation of thin polymer materials are introduced.
