Spectrum Allocation Method according to Resource Utilization in Distributed Control SDM-EON

(in English) In the field of core networks, Elastic Optical Networks, Space Division Multiplexing technologies, and multi-fiber technologies are attracting attention to respond to the increasing number of communication traffics year by year. In the existing research, in addition to the availability of slots in the distributed control multi-fiber environment, a method using a bit string representing a slot group in which multiple fibers are empty has been proposed, and it suppresses the rejection due to the“collision”. It is caused by the preceding the other optical path establishment by the signaling delay when the optical path is established. However, the suppression of rejection due to “Unavailable”, which occurs due to the absence of allocatable resources when a path request occurs, which is another rejection factor, is not fully considered. Therefore, in this paper, we proposed a Resource Usage Adaptive Method to suppress the rejection due to Unavailable while maintaining the suppression of collisions performed by the existing method in the distributed control multi-core environment. As a result of the evaluation by simulation, the rejection rate could be reduced at full load by the Resource Usage Adaptive Method.
