| (in English) | In recent years, the introduction and utilization of electronic communication devices in the sports world has been remarkable. Such devices should be used for the development of sports and the improvement of athletes' skills. However, there are examples of abusing such devices just for victory. In 2019, it was discovered that a team in the MLB had been stealing signs using devices, which became a big scandal. The MLB is considering using electronic communication devices for sign transmission, to eliminate the possibility of such sign-stealing problems. In this research, we discuss and determine the criteria for baseball sign transmission methods that prevent sign stealing, and then, develop a system that satisfies the criteria. We have confirmed by experiment that our prototype system based on M5StickC can prevent sign stealing in the baseball ground. At the same time, we have found that sign exchange using devices takes more time than sign exchange using hands. | |
