A Study on Anomalous Signal Detection Using Convolutional Neural Network for ELF Band Electromagnetic Wave

(in English) The electromagnetic (EM) wave radiated from the earth's crust is known as an important information to understand the precursor phenomena of great earth quakes. We record the EM wave in extremely low frequency (ELF) band. However, the recorded data includes various noises from the thunder radiation in near field and tropics, artificial radiation. The detection of anomalous signal related to the precursor of earthquake is important task. The neural network based approach is proposed to detect anomalous signal from ELF EM wave. However, the EM wave which includes missing values is not used to train the conventional neural network. In this paper, we propose the anomalous signal detection using CNN and waveform of electromagnetic wave.
