A Study on Signal Demodulation Schemes Based on Machine Learning for Digital Signage and Image Sensor Based Visible Light Communication

(in English) In this paper, we discuss a visible light communication system using a digital signage and an image sensor. We focus on the demodulation part of the communication system that modulates data signals not to obstruct the visual information on the digital signage, and propose a method that demodulates transmitted data signals from received images on the image sensor using machine learning. The performance of the machine learning-based demodulation method is evaluated for various data sets that simulate noise, blurring, and misalignment that may occur in the received images.
