2-D waveguide power transfer with a meander surface sheet

(in English) In the previous work of the wireless power transfer with a sheet-like waveguide, a simulated results showed the practical power transmission efficiency by using about 10-m meander-shaped sheet with a 6.78 MHz operating frequency. This paper shows the feasibility study of the wireless power transfer by using meander-shaped sheet. The prototype sheet is evaluated in terms of the propagation loss, the manufacturing cost and ease of installation. A waveguide-ring resonator coupler, which has high electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) performance, is also evaluated in terms of safety and efficiency. Simulates results shows the 70 dB electrical field strength ratio between inside/outside of the WRR coupler. The ratio of supplied power to coupler output power of the prototype coupler is -3.584 dB (43.8 %). In addition, the power transmission efficiency is estimated to be 74.6 % based on the assumption that the power is recovered at the termination of the sheet.
