A study of feature detector robust to illumination changes

(in English) In the field of deep space landing, autonomous position estimation using images is becoming a practical method. On the other hand, when landing on an unknown celestial body, the characteristics of the surface are not known in advance, so it is expected to use a general-purpose feature point detection method. In addition, the solar conditions may differ greatly between the time of mapping and the time of landing, and depending on the conditions of the celestial surface, the accuracy of the general feature point detection method using brightness gradients may be greatly reduced. Therefore, in this study, we investigate a feature point detection method that is robust to changes in solar conditions.
