Single Layer Reflectarray with Arbitrarily-Shaped Elements at 14/20/30GHz

(in English) The operating frequency bandwidth of reflectarray is narrowed because the resonance phenomenon of the elements is used. The authors have been studying reflectarray that operates at wide-band or dual-band by using an optimization method for arbitrary-shaped elements using a genetic algorithm (GA). In order to operate at multiple frequencies, it is necessary to control the phase distribution on the reflectarray aperture at the operating frequency. Therefore, the elements that secure a reflection phase from 0 ° to 360 ° at each frequency are required. In this paper, we design the elements that operate at wide-band from 14GHz to 20GHz and at 30GHz, and report on a single-layer reflectarray that operates at 14/20/30GHz for satellite communications.
