Throughput Analysis based on Energy Queueing Model for Wireless Powered Communication Networks with Constant Supplying Intervals

(in English) In the Wireless Powered Communication Networks (WPCNs), An Access Point (AP) supplies power to multiple stations (STAs) through the wireless power transfer technique, and the STAs communicate with the AP utilizing the supplied power. This network is expected to contribute to achieve longer lifetime IoT networks.
Therefore, for improving the network throughput in WPCNs it is necessary to clarify the relationship between power supplying rate at the AP and power consuming rate at STAs due to their data transmission.
This paper proposes throughput analysis for WPCNs with constant supplying intervals. For deriving the theoretical throughput, this paper applies the energy queuing model, which is an effective mathematical model to represent the transition of residual power in the battery at STAs. To consider the transition of the residual power for WPCNs with constant supplying intervals, two energy queueing models are used. The validity of the proposed method is confirmed through the comparison between analytical results and simulation ones. In addition, we discuss the dynamics in WPCNs with constant supplying intervals through the proposed analytical model.
