Evaluation of Human Identification Using MIMO Radar with Vertical Array

(in English) This report proposes human identification technique that is robust to the subject position deviation using MIMO (Multiple-Input Multiple-Output) radar with vertical array arrangement. This method calculates eigenvectors from the training and test propagation channels, and they are compared to perform human identification. The vertically arranged array alleviates the positional dependency of the eigenvectors corresponding to the targets. The experiment is carried out on five subjects in an indoor environment. When multiple positions in the room were used as the training data, the average identification rate was 87%, and when the test data and the training data have 50 cm displacement, the average identification rate was 60%.
