In space solar power systems, the rectenna is used as an array on the power receiving side, but the microwave power density is not uniform on the surface of the rectenna array. Therefore, the RF-DC conversion circuit used for the rectenna needs to be optimally designed according to the input power, but the previous reports have examined the maximum efficiency of the RF-DC conversion circuit. This time, we constructed a measurement system that can measure the optimum circuit of the RF-DC conversion circuit. From this measurement system, the optimum microwave circuit when the input power and load resistance value are fixed can be experimentally found. In addition, as a result of measuring the impedance of the diode and the microwave circuit at 2.45 GHz using this measurement system, it was found that both impedances have a relationship close to the complex conjugate. Furthermore, by adjusting the input circuit to be complex conjugate with respect to the diode impedance and measuring it multiple times, it was found that the diode impedance changes and both impedances do not become complex conjugate. From these results, we show a method that can experimentally determine the optimum microwave circuit from the constructed measurement system and design an RF-DC conversion circuit. |
