| (in English) | This report reviews the technical trends related to optical networks in 47th European Conference on Optical Communication (ECOC2021). Latest research topics in the fields from physical layer modelling, ultra-wideband communication, performance monitoring and telemetry, to SDN-based network architecture, system design and optimization, control and orchestration were reported. Moreover, in addition to these conventional research directions, new active research efforts towards machine learning, data-center and wireless networks were reported and highlighted in ECOC 2021. | |
