Study on quantum algorithms for gradient estimation of integer polynomials

(in English) Although efficient quantum algorithms for computing gradients of real functions already exist, they tend to be applicable only under certain conditions, and are still beyond the capabilities of today's quantum devices. In this study, we propose an algorithm for gradient estimation of integer polynomials that is efficient enough to allow execution of small-scale instances on existing devices. The proposed algorithm builds on Jordan's work and employs a novel approach for gradient extraction. The algorithm outputs binary representations of the values of sufficiently small gradients. Demonstrations of the algorithm on an IBM Quantum device are also presented.
