The ultimate goal of this study is to clarify the "academic position of human communication research" from various perspectives. In the first place, it has not been clarified what kind of research field human communication research is, and what kind of uniqueness the knowledge reported from human communication research has. In this paper, the characteristics of human communication research are again examined as a general framework, and in the final chapter, the differences from general engineering research are contrasted. This paper contributes to the theoretical foundation of human communication research in order to prevent identity crisis and to keep it as a research field with high social effectiveness. |
