| (in English) | At present, all information related to earthquakes and tsunamis is post-occurrence information, and there is almost no prior information. On the other hand, if accurate earthquake prediction information and tsunami information can be utilized in addition to the conventional Earthquake Early Warning, it is expected that economic and human losses can be further reduced. It has been found that ionospheric electron fluctuations are sensitive to tsunami and earthquake precursory fluctuations. If it is possible to monitor ionospheric electron fluctuations using GNNS data, and if it is possible to accurately detect changes caused by ionospheric electron fluctuations and sea level fluctuations caused by tsunamis at appropriate times, it can be said that it is sufficiently valuable as prior information. It can be said that the creation of a new-generation earthquake information system that includes the prior information used is an important issue. This report introduces the relationship between ionospheric electron fluctuations and earthquakes and tsunamis. | |
