Basic Study of Decoupling Circuit Between Antennas Using BSF Design Concept

(in English) In this study, we focus on the design method of a band-stop filter (BSF) using a parallel coupling matrix and propose a design method for decoupling networks with wide bandwidths. With application of a parallel resonator topology to a decoupling network, the coupling between antennas and the decoupling network can be regarded as a BSF. This makes it possible to design a decoupling network by applying filter theory. First, a parallel-connected BSF is designed, and the base circuit of the decoupling network is determined. Next, the coupling between antennas and the decoupling network is designed to work as a BSF, and prototyping and evaluation are accomplished. The results show the possibility of that the designed antenna and decoupling circuit can work as a BSF and decoupling can be realized.
