In electrochemical analysis, a stripping analysis is known as one of most sensitive methods because analytes were initially preconcentrated onto an electrode surface and then oxidized or reduced at once by scanning the potential. Anodic stripping voltammetry (ASV) has been employed to detect trace concentration of toxic heavy metal ions. In contrast, cathodic stripping voltammetry (CSV) can be applied for detecting anions with high sensitivity and analysis of biomolecules by utilizing thiol group. In this report, highly sensitive detection of heavy metal ions such as Cd2+, Pb2+, As3+, Se4+, tumor maker in saliva and evaluation of biomolecules recognition interfaces are introduced based on stripping analysis by utilizing carbon film and metal nanoparticles embedded carbon film electrodes. |
