Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) Recently, vital sensing methods with millimeter-wave (MMW) radar have been rapidly developed, with which vital signals of people in-cabin or indoor are supposed to be detected. When the Arctangent Demodulation, one of the respiration detection methods with MMW, is applied, the circle fitting processing of a radar signal is considered the most crucial step. In some real-life environments, however, fitting a circle to the radar signal on the complex plane doesn’t work correctly. In this paper, multiple of circle fitting methods are applied to simulated radar signals for comparison, and we present that selecting a proper method is vital to achieve the correct circle fitting to the radar signal.
