Long-Distance Radio Communication Underwater/Undersea -- Wide-band Antenna and Application of PaWalet Link Under Seawater --

(in English) Our project aimed at establishing technologies for developing wireless communication under water and seawater. Some research on high-efficiency wireless communication systems is reported due to high propagation losses under water/seawater.
In order to enable realizing long-distance radio communications under water/undersea, two approaches are planned: (1) medium-range and (2) long-range communication. In the case of medium-range, wide-band antennas and MIMO (Multi Input Multi Output) technology under seawater are developed. This case has several antennas in 0.1-28 MHz are designed and measurement systems are established in view. For long-distance communication, PaWalet Link based on Wavelet OFDM (Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing) is planned for multi-hop relay. This paper describes the introduction of our project and research.
