In order to realize efficient spectrum sharing among CSMA/CA and non-CSMA/CA wireless systems, the authors have proposed a transmission channel selection scheme based on multi-armed bandit algorithm. This paper studies how to apply this transmission channel selection scheme to IEEE 802.11 wireless LANs. In order to enable the channel access on multiple frequency channels and differing frame transmission until the next channel selection, we employ the concepts of multi-link operation and nonsimultaneous transmit and receive operation which are going to be adopted into the IEEE 802.11be standard. We use the IDLE duration after frame transmission, the transmission delay and the payload length of the transmitted frame in reward calculation in order to balance spectral efficiency, transmission delay and throughput. |
