A Study on the Analysis of Unpleasant Factor of Blackboard Scraping Sounds

(in English) As a first step toward the elucidation of the discomfort factor of sound, we focused on the discomfort factor of the sound of scratching the blackboard with fingernails (scraping sound).From the analysis of the spectrograms of this sounds, we found that the peak frequency, which is found in the range of 1 to 4 kHz, fluctuates greatly with time. Therefore, we created a pseudo-sound that suppressed the peak frequency fluctuation of the sounds, and conducted an experiment on subjects to verify the effect on their discomfort. The results suggested that the peak frequency fluctuation was involved in the discomfort.
