In recent years, Over the Air (OTA) test has been attracting attention to evaluate the wireless capabilities of the IoT as it increases. This test is usually conducted in the far field, that requires a large measurement device and a long scanning time. In this paper, we investigate the performance of the antenna simulating wi-fi at 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz. In this paper, the current distribution of the antenna is estimated from the electric field value of the near field by using the near field to far field transformation, and the far field directivity is calculated by using this transformation to reduce the scanning time.
