| (in English) | This study deals with a new gustatory display technology that controls the spatial distribution of taste in the oral cavity by using transcutaneous electrical stimulation that applies a weak electric current to the skin around the oral cavity. In this technique, electrodes are placed on the skin around the oral cavity, and the current density distribution in the oral cavity is controlled according to the position of the applied current. The difference in the current density distribution formed by the electrode position is thought to affect the intensity of the sensation induced by the stimulus. However, previous studies have only shown that the user perceives taste differently depending on the electrode position. In this paper, we investigated the current threshold of gustatory electric stimulation using electrodes placed at six locations around the oral cavity as anodes. | |
