As a method of imaging the activity of the brain using EEG, the equivalent dipole layer imaging has been developed to visualize the signal source. This method requires about 100 electrodes from spatial resolution perspective, but it takes a long time to prepare, which imposes a heavy burden on the subject. In general, when recording EEG, 19 electrodes were located based on the international 10-20 system. In this study, the dipole imaging using 19 electrodes was investigated. The potential at any position on the scalp was interpolated by multiple regression analysis. Our simulation and experimental results suggested that the proposed interpolation method may be effective for high resolution brain activity imaging with reduced electrode. |
