An Experimental Study on Electrical Noise Caused by Mechanical Vibration of Audio Equipment -- An Effect of Vibration on an Amplifier --
Masahide Kita, Kiminobu Nishimura (Kindai Univ.) EA2022-1
Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) In previous study, we could find out audio insulator has the effect of reducing vibration of audio equipment. But it is not known clearly how vibration of audio equipment affects electrical signal.
In this study, we assumed that the relationship between vibration and electrical noise depends on the induced electromotive force (e=vBl). And, to clarify the relationship between vibration of audio equipment and electrical noise, speaker output terminal of audio amplifier was measured when the amplifier was acoustically excited. Consequently, we could confirm that vibration of audio amplifier induces electrical noise, and its noise level depends on vibration velocity level of chassis proportionally.
