Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) Bolt-clamped Langevin transducer are widely used for high-power applications; however, saturation of vibration velocity and resonant frequency shift are occurred. This is because of the non-linear effect of piezoelectric material due to large tensile stress. Previously, our group reported that these non-linear effects can be analyzed quantitatively by using the higher order elastic constants. In this study, higher order elastic constants were introduced in transfer matrix for bolted-Langevin transducers model. Based on the simulation results, the effect of piezoelectric characteristics and the transducers design were examined for improving the performance.
