Simulation Evaluation of Millimeter Wave Cell Free massive MIMO for Realistic Deployment Environment

(in English) Cell-free massive MIMO (CF mMIMO) is a candidate elemental technology for Beyond 5G. In this paper, we report the results of evaluation of basic characteristics of CF mMIMO in millimeter-wave band, assuming actual deployment scenarios. Specifically, we report on the results of the evaluation of the basic characteristics of CF mMIMO in a simulated outdoor deployment scenario in urban and suburban areas, where the propagation path information between access points (APs) and user terminals (UEs) is obtained by a ray-trace method considering topographical and structural data, and the signal processing performance of hybrid BF in the central processing unit (CPU) is taken into account. We report the results of the simulation which clarify the basic characteristics of CF mMIMO.
