A Study on Indoor Location Estimation Based on Complex-Domain Super MDS Method Using Time Series Information

(in English) As sensor terminals become smaller, more energy-efficient, and more multi-functional, wireless communication networks are becoming a fundamental technology supporting a variety of applications. Wireless positioning technology is one of the most vital research topics, and there is an urgent need to design algorithms that achieve highly accurate indoor localization with low computational complexity.
CD-SMDS (Complex Domain Super Multidimensional Scaling) is known as a low-complexity localization method based on a Gram kernel matrix that integrates distance and angle information obtained from wireless networks, and the larger the dimensionality of the Gram kernel matrix, the better the estimation accuracy.
In this paper, we assume that the target device is capable of simple self-positioning (estimation of its own distance and direction of movement), and attempt to further improve the accuracy of CD-SMDS by forming a multidimensional Gram kernel that incorporates time-series information.
Finally, we confirm the efficacy of the proposed method through computer simulations.
