Development of photoacoustic signal measurement system for an optically mechanical-property-observation

(in English) Mechanical properties of biological tissues are reported to relate to inflammation and lesions. This study develops a measurement system to measure mechanical properties at a cellular scale by means of an optical measurement. The stress application and displacement measurement, which are necessary for mechanical property measurement, were implemented using a photoacoustic wave generated by a pulsed laser and an optical interferometry, respectively. This report describes the vibration measurement of pulsed ultrasound waves generated by a single concave transducer and the detection of photoacoustic waves generated by a metal plate as a proof-of-principle experiment of optically mechanical-property-observation.
