The need for vehicle-to-vehicle communications is increasing to realize more accurate automated driving and advanced traffic management systems. These are called vehicle-to-vehicle (V2V) communications. In the case of V2V communication during parallel driving, signals are considered to undergo Doppler shift due to reflections from the road surface. In this study, V2V communication is reproduced by the FDTD method, and the characteristics of Doppler shift in V2V communication are quantitatively analyzed. The results show that a variety of spectra are generated on random road surfaces. The Doppler spectra are broadened by changing the vehicle speed and the presence/absence of the vehicle body as the measurement conditions. The Doppler spectrum is not affected by the distance between vehicles. |
