Inter-channel response of the dual-channel 2-dimensional panoramic sound recording system in a free sound field

(in English) In principle, 3-point measurement is necessary to acquire the 2-dimensional spatial property. Most recording systems, however, have only 2 tracks and it is difficult to use 3 or more microphones at the same time. Recently, a 2-dimensional panoramic sound recording system that consists of only 2 unidirectional microphones has been proposed. To examine if such a system actually has an ideal characteristic, the inter-channel responses of the recording system were measured in a free sound field.
