A Novel Estimation Method of Radio Propagation Characteristics Based on Color Images

(in English) In the advanced cyber-physical system (CPS) envisioned in the 2030s, AI will reproduce and emulate the real world in various fields giving discoveries of future prediction and new knowledge. These discoveries are also fed back to the real world and used to provide various values and solutions. For transmitting sensing information with extreme high capacity and extreme low latency from real world to cyber space, and feeding back control signal transmission with extreme high reliability and extreme low latency from cyber space to real world, the research and development of 5G evolution & 6G, are carried out intensively. In order to maximize the performance of 6G systems using dynamic control by CPS, a technology for estimating and predicting radio propagation characteristics in real time with high accuracy is required. To realize the technology, in this report, we propose a novel estimation method for radio propagation characteristics. In this method, detecting paths and calculating received powers, delays, angle characteristics of scattering waves, are based on the color images of the environments which seen from the transmission and receiving points. We clarify the performance by comparing with measurement path loss results
