| (in English) | In order to improve their own work, the users of the information system themselves have been exploring the factors leading to the development of the information system, and since 2019, they have been developing and operating a child-care attendance management system at K kindergarten in Gifu Prefecture, using IC cards for authentication, automatically unlocking the kindergarten gate, notifying parents when their children have been picked up, and providing information to the kindergarten staff. This system contributes to the improvement of the work of the kindergarten's teachers and staff. On the other hand, if a parent forgets his or her IC card, it interferes with the conventional intercom service and the calculation of monthly fees. In order to improve this situation, we considered introducing a face recognition system. However, the current system is a mission-critical system, and introducing it on a zero-based basis would have a high risk of slowing down operations. Therefore, in this study, we examined the possibility of using the face recognition system in combination with the current system, and evaluated the performance of a prototype system using the face recognition API. As a result, we found that the response time of the prototype system is better than that of the current system when a wired LAN is installed. | |
