[Poster Presentation] NLoS Three-dimensional Positioning Estimation Using 920MHz-band LoRaWAN at Construction Sites

(in English) Next-generation smart building schemes using information and communication technologies have been developed recently. In particular, wireless positioning technology is expected to be used for safety confirmation of workers and management of equipment in buildings under construction. However, no wireless networks exist in such buildings. Moreover, building conditions can change drastically from moment to moment. Therefore, to establish three-dimensional positioning technology that can cover the entire building with a small number of nodes at the construction site is a challenge. In this presentation, we propose a three-dimensional position estimation scheme using 920MHz-band LoRaWAN at construction sites. More concretely, we propose a method to estimate target’s location and height by using received-signal-strength-indication (RSSI) information obtained through a small number of sparsely distributed gateways in a building. We demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed method by simulation and in-door experiment results.
