The next generation information network will evolve into "Massive Connect Internet of Things (IoT)", which will improve the intelligence of the network itself and create new value by analyzing big data from a huge number of nodes. In the wireless communication system constituting the Massive Connect IoT, various kinds of data are frequently exchanged among a huge number of nodes. Therefore, high efficiency and simplification of multiple access technologies are indispensable. Synchronized spread spectrum code division multiple access (SS-CDMA) with space-time synchronization is very effective for increasing the capacity and reducing the interference with a rapid spread of IoT devices. In this presentation, the authors describe the results of the research and development to date, {it e.g.}, the concept of synchronous SS-CDMA, and its implementation and evaluation on the Universal Software Radio Peripheral (USRP). |
