[Poster Presentation] A UHF Band Double Loop Antenna Being Able to Match Impedances with RFICs

(in English) A UHF band double loop antenna which was able to match impedances with RFICs (Radio Frequency Integrated Circuits) was proposed. RFICs integrated with antennas are getting popular and applying not only to mobile communication devices but also RFID tags, energy harvesting and radar technologies. RFIC, in general, includes a matching circuit connecting with an antenna, and the matching circuit causes the size and matching loss to increase for the antenna integrated RFIC. The authors are going to solve this problem by adjusting impedance of loop antennas, which have low resistance and high inductive reactance, to RFIC. First, the single loop was tried to adjust, but its width got too wide to affect its miniaturization and radiation efficiency. Then, the double-loop structure was employed to make the electrically small loop antenna with low resistance and high inductive reactance in UHF band. As a result, the outline size was achieved with 70 mm × 20 mm.
