Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) In this report, we propose and experimentally demonstrate a positioning method that combines RSSI (Received Signal Strength Indicator) of the wireless beacon signal and PDR (Pedestrian Dead Reckoning). The RSSI transition is predicted by combining the fading pattern artificially generated by two antennas and the route estimated by PDR. The current position is estimated by comparing the observed and predicted RSSIs. Experimental evaluation confirms the RSSI transition due to the artificially generated fading pattern and shows that the mean error for all routes is about 2.0 m.
