Growth of the bandwidth of network switches in data centers, or growth of the scale of high-performance computing demands higher transmission density and lower energy consumption for optical communication devices. In order to comply with such demands, wide variety of technologies ranging from devices to packaging are being developed. In this report, topical presentations in ECOC2022 are summarized, focusing on optical active devices. |
