Cross-Polarization Reduction by Folded Grooves Loaded on the Wall of the 7.8/20/30 GHz Band Multistage Step Horn Antenna

Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) In this paper, we first created a three-step shape that exhibited good antenna characteristics in the center frequency 7.8 GHz. Next, based on the three-step geometry effective for the 7.8 GHz band, a geometry with a bent groove on the discontinuous surfaces of the first and second steps is created to enable the use of the 20 GHz band. The antenna is designed to maintain the 7.8/20 GHz band characteristics and to improve the radiation characteristics in the 30 GHz band by adding a bent groove to the wall surface of the third step.
