A Study on Measurement Technique of Transmission Characteristics by Free Space Method in Anechoic Chamber

(in English) In the beyond 5G and 6G mobile communication system, extending operation to higher frequencies called millimeter wave or terahertz wave. It has been confirmed that in the higher frequency band, the amount of attenuation due to transmission through the material tends to increase. Therefore, it is important to measure transmission characteristics in higher frequency. For wide band measurement in order to use mobile communication system, free space method is suitable. In this paper, we reveal a study of the measurement conditions when setting the material at far-filed distance, setting the material in Fresnel zone, and measuring only the direct wave.
