[Poster Presentation] QestOptPOVM: Numerical search for finding an optimal POVM for multiparameter estimation

(in English) It is of fundamental question to find an optimal measurement (POVM) that extracts the most information available about the parameter encoded in a quantum state. This problem remains unsolved due to non-trivial optimization. In this paper, we propose an algorithm, QestOptPOVM, in searching for the optimal POVM based on the gradient descent method. We focus on one special optimality condition of the measurements, so called the A-optimality. The questions of finding the optimal measurements and the minimal number of POVM elements are both studied. One specific two-parameter qubit model is tested in the i.i.d. extension setting to show the efficiency and accuracy of the proposed algorithm.
