Development of Device to Share Tension among Spectators Watching e-sports

(in English) In recent years, esports has developed, and the population of online spectators has increased accordingly. The problem has emerged that it’s difficult to share the atmosphere among spectators because they aren’t present at the venue. Especially in competitive esports, it’s important to be able to share sympathetic feeling such as excitement and tension among spectators. We propose a tension-sharing device that uses heat and vibration to promote changes in the spectator’s state of excitement and tension when watching esports. We measured the temperature change in the forehead area caused by vibration during watching esports. We also measured the level of excitement and tension on a 6-point Likert scale with and without the device. The results confirmed that the use of heat and vibration increased excitation and tension.
