Cognitive behavior therapy (CBT) is a well-established method for the treatment of mental disorders and daily mental healthcare. Virtual agents, which are interfaces that enable automated face-to-face interaction, are expected to be applied to CBT and other healthcare support. We aim to develop a virtual agent that selects appropriate responses by estimating psychological states during CBT. However, previous studies have not examined the estimation of psychological distress during CBT. Therefore, we examine how to accurately estimate psychological stress during CBT using multimodal information, including text, speech, and images. In this study, 29 user-agent interactions were recorded, and linear regression was used to estimate K6 scores, a measure of psychological stress. As a result, we achieved 0.49 in the correlation coefficient between the actual K6 score and predicted K6 scores. |
